While they did attend high school together, two grades apart, their story doesn’t begin until spring 2011, when Darcy was still a senior in high school in Madison and Jake was a sophomore in college in Milwaukee. So like a true modern-day romance, it all began on Facebook. Liking each other’s photos, appreciating each other’s taste in music, and eventually exchanging phone numbers. Soon they were texting and calling each other on a daily basis, and some might say, haven’t stopped talking since.

For their first date, they went to a concert in Milwaukee, at Turner Hall, and going to shows quickly became their thing. By that summer they were dating, with Darcy joining Jake in Milwaukee as she attended college at MIAD and Jake continuing at UWM.

And just like that, here they are. After 11 years together, 3 cats, hundreds of concerts, and numerous moves around Milwaukee, they can’t wait to start this new chapter as a married couple.
